Earlier tonight a number of my friends visited Kitty O'Sheas bar in Wellington. We are part of an offical standardisation organisation which have a meeting here invited by the Ministry of Education and after finishing a hard day of work we wanted to celebrate our chairs birthday (he turned 53). Unfortunatly the staff and management would not allow for that. The committees secretary, a 32 year old korean was denied having a beer at the place. Even though one of us (a person working at the ministry) tried to convince the staff and the manager he was refused having a beer together with us.
You can not help wondering if this was a sort of racism?
Anyhow - Kitty Shitty O'Sheas is now on my list of bar I never will visit again.
